ABSTRACT: In July 2015, the Addis Ababa Action Agenda was adopted by world leaders, creating a holistic and coherent framework for financing sustainable development. Full implementation of the Addis Agenda is critical for the realisation of the SDGs. An Inter-agency taskforce was set up in order to provide credible and timely monitoring and analysis of the progress being made towards the Addis Agenda. Chapter 2A on domestic public resources is particularly relevant, and this report reveals that on average, countries have increased their tax revenue over the last 15 years, although there is plenty of room for improvement.
